Maillon Theater in Strasbourg by LAN

Parisian studio LAN was awarded as BigMat Finalist Prize in France’21 for their Maillon Theater in Strasbourg, a minimalist complex and one of the first spaces specifically designed for contemporary theatre in Europe.

Casa O Fieiro by Arturo Franco

The architect Arturo Franco was awarded with the BigMat National Prize in Spain’21 and the Special Mention for Small-Scale Projects for his O Fieiro house project. The proposal includes the rehabilitation of a small stable for animals, a farmhouse from the year 1920 built with stone walls of large well-arranged granite ashlars.

New Synagogue in Zilina by PLURAL

Today we rediscover a transformation of the neglected neologic synagogue, designed by Peter Behrens, into a cultural centre, which was awarded as BigMat National Prize in Slovakia 2021.
